Repair Your Old / Damaged Pearl Strand

We offer restringing services for pearls and pearl jewelry and make everything as good as new.

Quality cultured pearls are often strung on silk thread with a knot between each pearl. This keeps the pearls from rubbing against each other and prevents all the pearls from cascading to the floor if the necklace was to break.

Silk thread is susceptible to wear and tear, stretch or discolor over time, especially if you wear the necklaces all the time. If you see extra space between the knots that separate the pearls from each other, that could be a sign that the necklace needs to be restrung.

For security and durability it is best to restring pearl necklaces and bead jewelry at least every five years. Anyone who wears her pearl strands regularly should have them restrung once a year in order to make sure that the strand doesn’t rip and that the pearls aren’t inadvertently scratched or damaged.

The team at three x seven Jewelry has restrung over a thousand of pearl necklaces over the past ten years.

We can also customize your pearls with a new clasp in gold or sterling silver, and we can both shorten and lengthen pearl necklaces and bracelets.

So come to the best and trust our experts to take care of your precious strand of pearls or your pearl bracelet, for the best price.

The weakest point of any bracelet or necklace is the point where the clasp attaches to the strand.  Because of this, we spend extra time covering the stringing material with the tiniest coiled wire which is called French wire.  This prevents the metal of the clasp from rubbing against the stringing material and makes the attachment much more durable.  This step is generally skipped by most pearl stringers resulting in a weakened attachment.

There are no refunds on pearl or bead re-stringing or repair services. If you are unhappy for any reason, you may return the item to me to be re-strung one time within two weeks of receipt. Obtain return authorization by e-mail before sending so we know to expect your return.
